Iveco Bus launches new addition to Crossway electric bus range
05 December 2024
Iveco Bus has unveiled its latest addition to its electric bus lineup, the Crossway Elec High Floor.
The new model joins the Crossway Low Entry Elec and Crossway Normal Floor Mild Hybrid.
Designed for intercity routes, the new model is available in 12- and 13-metre versions (Class 2 and 3). The larger variant can accommodate up to 63 passengers.
It can be specified with a minimum of three or maximum of six battery packs. With three or four packs, two are located on the roof with the remaining packs positioned in a dedicated rear compartment. This does not impact luggage space. Adding more packs will see some reduction in available space.
Battery packs are assembled by FPT Industrial using high-density NMC cells which also support rapid recharging using a CCS Combo 2 socket. Equipped with six packs, the Crossway Elec High Floor has a maximum energy capacity of 415 kWh, which delivers a potential range of between 450 and 500 km.
The model further features a 290 kW Siemens Elfa III electric motor which can produce up to 3000 Nm of torque.
Connectivity (telematics) and fleet management services are available through Iveco ON.
The Crossway Elec High Floor will be assembled at the Vysoke Myto plant in the Czech Republic.
