OPRA Hits The Right Notes

Dutch gas turbine maker OPRA Turbines B.V. has opened a new facility to increase production following a recent growth in its business.
The company, which manufactures gas turbine-based generator sets in the 2 MW range, has opened a new 4000 m2 factory in Hengelo. The new site in the High Tech Systems Park replaces its existing base in the city, which is in the eastern part of The Netherlands.
The new offices and production space are in operation as of this month and include natural gas pipeline access, research and development facilities, assembly, packaging and engine testing capabilities.
The company said it has sold more than 125 gas turbine generator packages to date. The OPRA OP16 gas turbine is designed to offer low emissions combustion, fuel flexibility and the ability to run on flare gas as well as a range of industrial waste gasses.
The company said that the turbine’s low maintenance, high availability and compact package are added benefits for remote oil fields and urban areas. OPRA customers include oil and gas majors and industrial plants needing both heat and power for production processes.
OPRA provides options in single or multiple installations from 1 to 10 MW demand.
