Stellar Industries to acquire Elliott Equipment

Stellar Industries has signed an agreement to acquire Elliott Equipment Company, a longtime United States manufacturer of truck-mounted cranes, aerial work platforms and digger derricks.

Stellar builds mechanic service trucks, cranes and specialized work vehicles. It was started in Iowa in 1990 and is owned by its employees.

The acquisition supports Stellar’s ongoing plan to grow its lifting solutions and expand its offer across utility infrastructure, municipal services, commercial construction and the sign and lighting sectors.

By adding Elliott’s materials handling and aerial work platform equipment to its portfolio, Stellar said it aims to broaden its presence in core vocational markets and create new opportunities for distributors, customers and employee-owners.

The transaction, for an undisclosed sum, is expected to close during the first quarter of 2026, subject to customary closing requirements.

Cultural alignment

“Stellar has always pursued growth opportunities that align with our culture, vision and commitment to excellence,” said Dave Zrostlik, Stellar president. “The addition of Elliott Equipment Company represents an exciting step forward as we continue to build upon our shared values of quality, innovation and customer service. We’re proud to welcome Elliott to the Stellar team.”

Elliott will operate as a distinct business unit of Stellar and will continue to support its current employees, Omaha facilities, brand identity and dealer network. Elliott President Jim Glazer will remain in his leadership role.

“We are thrilled to continue the Elliott Equipment Company story with Stellar,” said Glazer. “This acquisition represents a strong cultural fit between two organizations that share a commitment to people, product integrity and long-term growth.”

Elliott Equipment has been going since 1948. It manufactures boom truck cranes, truck mounted aerial work platforms and digger derricks with pole augers.
