AGCO, Claas receive 2025 AE50 Awards
13 January 2025
Each year, American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers’ (ASABE) AE50 Awards recognize the 50 most innovative new products and product innovations in North America that have significant impact on agricultural, food and biological systems. This year, two leading global agricultural equipment suppliers, AGCO Corporation and Claas, have been named recipients.

AGCO Corporation is being honored with five AE50 awards this year.
“AGCO’s 2025 AE50 winners build on the momentum set by our innovations of the last five years, providing farmer-focused solutions that save time, reduce costs and enhance yields,” said AGCO Chairman, President & CEO Eric Hansotia. “I’m especially proud that these awards span our brands, demonstrating our ongoing commitment to addressing farmers’ needs and values.”
The award-winning products include:
- AGCO Parts’ Application Lift System, which allows operators to efficiently lift and exchange application systems (usually dry to/from liquid) at their own locations, increasing machine usefulness, versatility and return on investment.
- Fendt ErgoSteer, a retrofittable steering joystick for Fendt 500 to 1000 series tractors that provides ergonomic, precise and intuitive control for field operations.
- The Fendt Momentum 30-Foot Planter, designed to bring advanced planting benefits to smaller farms, with 100-bushel seed capacity and 800-gal. liquid fertilizer capacity.
- Precision Planting’s ReconBlockage, which the company said prevents skips and yield loss when seeding and fertilizing by using acoustic sensors to detect flow variance by section, instantly alerting operators of blocked runs.
- PTx Trimble OutRun Autonomous Grain Cart Solution, an autonomous solution that allows tractors to pull grain carts without drivers during harvest.
Claas is being honored for three different agricultural innovations this year.
“Our engineers are constantly working to refine our technologies, making our equipment more productive, efficient, and sustainable,” said Eric Raby, Claas senior vice president Region Americas. “This year, our harvesting equipment has been the focus, starting with the most recent addition to the Lexion combine lineup and ending with two very innovative enhancements to our Jaguar forage harvesters.”

Products to be recognized include the:
- Lexion 8900 Terra Trac class-10+ combine, which delivers 779 max hp (SAE) from a 16.2L Man engine with Dynamic Power, plus features the Claas Cemos Automatic combine automation system.
- Jaguar Earlage Adapter, designed to seamlessly integrate a combine-style multi-coupler to the harvester to the harvester to utilize Auto Contour and Auto Pilot functionalities.
- Jaguar V-Flex Drum, a flexible cutting cylinder with a three-bolt knife design, 10-degree knife angles and a wide range of cutting lengths.
The official AE50 Award ceremony will take place in February 2025 at the ASABE Agricultural Equipment Technology Conference in Louisville, Ky.
