New tech updates for Deere’s next-gen P-Tier loaders
01 July 2025
John Deere’s latest P-Tier wheel loader models – the next-generation 524 P-Tier, 544 P-Tier and 624 P-Tier – include an integrated suite of smart systems, advanced cooling system and improved machine health monitoring designed to simplify maintenance and aid in getting machines “Ready to Run”, according to the company.

Advanced onboard diagnostics, including daily fluid checks, fluid loss detection and battery health monitoring, are easily accessible through the in-cab display. The next-generation 7-in. primary touchscreen display has a larger interface and intuitive navigation to help enhance operator focus and simplify operation. The display enables a new in-base rear camera view and supports the ability to run two applications simultaneously, including the backup camera. An optional G5 secondary display is available for expanded functionality in a dual-screen layout.
The P-Tier models can also be equipped with SmartDetect from the factory. This optional camera-based system detects objects and people near the machine and provides visual and distinctive audible bystander alerts on the in-cab display. When equipped with SmartDetect, the G5 display acts as a secondary screen, while the next-generation primary display remains the main interface.
The proprietary QuadCool Cooling System enhances durability and serviceability. Redesigned rear hoods, grilles and cab roofs are designed to eliminate the need to climb on the machine for maintenance, while side-access planes simplify cleaning of the condenser and radiator. The newly relocated axle cooling system is easier to access and maintain, and a reverse fan clears debris out through the side doors to minimize buildup beneath the machine. In addition, the rear door opens independently from the sides for more convenient daily maintenance.
The P-Tier wheel loaders are also available with new high-strength steel buckets featuring extended lips, said to increase material holding capacity by approximately 5%.
