01 May 2024

At ERA, we always strive to develop projects that add value to both our members and the equipment rental industry.

With that in mind, and since people are one of the key pillars of our industry, we launched a study on ‘Attraction and Retention of People in Rental’.

Read the full study here, and get to know our 10 recommendations on how to tackle attraction and retention of people challenges!

In today’s fiercely competitive job market, actively engaging and retaining employees has become even more critical and is a heightened concern for businesses.

In contrast to talent attraction, employee retention is a more cost-effective endeavour where companies can exert greater influence.

Among the topics covered within the study, you will find insights regarding the future of work trends and employment models; motivations and new expectations of workers; ways to successfully communicate with new generations and to implement diversity and inclusion; and the evolution of the rental sector and the impact of skills.

Furthermore, the methodology of the study is based on a four step mixed-methods approach that encapsulates the following areas: Literature Review & Trend Analysis; In-Depth Interviews & Insights; Collaborative Engagement & Recommendations Refinement; and Industry Insights & Expert Analysis.

The study also focuses on the major challenge of attracting new employees in the rental sector, based on four key issues that employees reported or that emerged upon their departure from the company.
