Amy Davis, president, Accelera by Cummins

Amy Davis, president of Accelera by Cummins, will present the opening keynote address for the third day of the 12th annual Advanced Clean Transportation (ACT) Expo, which is taking place May 1-4, at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, Calif. The ACT Expo highlights advanced transportation technologies and clean fuels and will showcase nearly 200 advanced commercial vehicles in all weight classes, applications and fuel types.

“We are excited to welcome Amy to ACT Expo as she leads a new era for Cummins through the Accelera brand,” said Erik Neandross, CEO at Gladstein, Neandross & Associates (GNA), the producers of ACT Expo. “As a trusted global technology provider for innovative zero-emission solutions, Cummins is laying the foundation for a new green energy economy that is ready to make clean power the new normal.”

In her May 3rd presentation, Davis will share how Accelera, launched in March 2023 as Cummins Inc.’s zero-emission technology brand, is accelerating the shift to sustainable commercial transportation and scaling the required infrastructure. She will highlight the brand’s portfolio of electrification and hydrogen technologies, explain the company’s multi-solution strategy and discuss how the industry must shift to decarbonize demanding duty cycles in an economically viable way.

Accelera’s zero-emission, zero-carbon solutions range from electrolyzers that produce hydrogen to hydrogen fuel cells and the batteries and electrified components that make up a zero-emission powertrain. Notable projects underway include supplying a 90-MW proton exchange membrane electrolyzer system in Quebec, Canada, which will provide green hydrogen used to turn non-recyclable waste into biofuels; and powering a new fleet of 1000 electric school buses across the U.S. during the next 12-18 months to prevent 10,600 metric tons of harmful carbon emissions.

“We are innovating on both ends of the chicken-and-egg scenario to drive adoption and demand and ultimately accelerate the shift to a sustainable future,” said Davis. “I’m excited to be at ACT Expo this year to share how we’re partnering with customers and securing a sustainable future for the industries that keep the world running.”
