These technologies are said to offer end-to-end solutions for the decarbonisation of various industries, including hydrogen production, storage, transportation, and utilisation for stationary and mobile applications.

Alison Trueblood, General Manager - Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technologies at Accelera, said, “Hannover Messe is Accelera’s first significant European trade show as Cummins’ zero-emission brand since our launch on March 8th of this year.

“Our team is proud to offer a diverse portfolio of zero-emission technologies and solutions, supported by Cummins’ global support network and a century of proven customer experience. Together, we are in a new era of sustainability, working to secure a clean future for industries that were previously considered more challenging to decarbonize.”

Accelera’s booth displayed the business segment’s fourth-generation fuel cell engine — FCE150. The engine operates with zero greenhouse gas or criteria air emissions and is modular in nature. It can be stacked to generate a 300kW solution, making it suitable for heavy- and medium-duty trucks, buses, rail, off-highway equipment, and marine applications.

The business unit recently opened its Hydrogen Fuel Cell Systems Production Centre in Herten, Germany, and is set to open a new gigawatt-scalable electrolyzer plant in Castilla-La Mancha, Spain, at the end of this year.
