AEM Promotes Tanel to Senior Vice President

Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) President Dennis Slater has announced the promotion of Megan Tanel to senior vice president, exhibitions & events, effective January 1.
“Megan has passionately led our association exhibitions and events over the past five-plus years to unprecedented success, delivering record exhibition results, developing our global show footprint, focusing on member and exhibitor ROI and strategically positioning our exhibitions for long-term success,” Slater said.
“She has developed and directed an effective and professional team that successfully launched ConExpo Latin America this year to add to the impressive growth and improved value to members of ConExpo-Con/Agg, ICUEE, IFPE, World of Asphalt, the Bauma-ConExpo international events, Commodity Classic collaboration and a newly developing agricultural brand event concept to be launched in 2016,” he stated.
Slater noted that while Tanel’s promotion to senior vice president recognizes her leadership in the impressive success of AEM’s largest business unit, it will also provide her with the opportunity to get in front of AEM leaders, members, and the industry in a role outside of exhibitions, positioning her for other future leadership responsibilities.
