AEM’s New Latin American Event

Premium Content

26 January 2016

Following the launch of the ConExpo Latin America trade show in October, 2015 in Chile, the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) is switching gears and holding a ConExpo Latin America “educational event” October 10-11, 2016 in Lima, Peru. The event is just before the Excon trade show in Lima.

The event will be held at Swissotel in Lima.  AEM said it expects 300-400 construction industry professionals to attend primarily end users, dealers, industry-focused graduate students (special invitation), trade associations, and trade media.

A majority of the targeted attendees are expected to come from Peru, followed by attendees from other Latin American countries in the Northern part of the region (Colombia, Ecuador, Panama, to a lesser degree Venezuela), AEM said.

CAPECO, the Peruvian Construction Chamber, is supporting AEM in promoting the CELA Seminars. However, CELA is a stand-alone event, which is not co-located with Excon. The exhibition is primarily focused on building materials.
