AGCO Building Gen-Sets in Brazil
29 October 2018
AGCO has announced its first production line of electrical power generation sets in Brazil. To be built in Mogi das Cruzes, São Paulo, the facility is the same plant where the company manufactures Valtra tractors and AGCO Power engines and has a lab of emissions control.
“Our strategy is to offer solutions in generator groups with diesel engines,” said André Rocha, sales, marketing and post-sales manager. “We will make Valtra and Massey Ferguson brands a reference also in the industry of energy generation,” Rocha stated.
The new AGCO generators use AGCO Power engines and are available from 45 kVA to 220 kVA. The sets cover all three primary gen-set markets standby, prime power and continuous.
The equipment was designed to meet demands in agriculture, retail and construction markets, AGCO said.
