Event organiser Messe Munich International said, “It was ascertained that the organizers’ goal to offer all participants optimal conditions for a successful trade fair would be difficult to implement under the current circumstances.”

The decision to cancel was made after discussions with stakeholders.

Originally due to take place at the India Expo Centre in Greater Noida, New Delhi, in November of 2020, the event was first pushed back to February 2021 before being moved again to April.

Messe Munich added that, “A comprehensive study of the market in solidarity with the industry’s and organizers’ concerns around exhibitors’ ROI [return on investment], safety protocols and uncertain international participants’ turnout mainly due to travel restrictions placed on potential international participants by their countries and their organisations.”

The event organiser, which thanked its stakeholders and participants for their constant support, said it was “certain that the next edition will happen with much more zest and vigour.”

Bauma Conexpo India joins a long list of other construction events that have been cancelled or postponed due to Covid-19. A full list of construction events can be found at KHL’s website.
