Construction equipment manufacturer Bobcat has announced that the company and its employees have raised more than US$175,000 in donations, which will be divided among nonprofit organisations in 17 US states.

The company matched each employee donation dollar-for-dollar – up to US$3,000 per individual.

Tina Amerman, Bobcat Director People Programs, said the annual fundraiser has grown since its inception.

“We continue to see strong participation,” said Amerman, adding that Bobcat and employees have “donated hundreds of thousands of dollars over the years to positively impact a wide variety of local organizations.”

Among the most popular organisations chosen for the funds was United Way. Bobcat has partnered with United Way across two decades to help “support its mission of inspiring and activating communities to improve lives,” according to a press release from the company.

Additionally in 2023, Bobcat donated US$5 million to support a new engineering facility at North Dakota State University and partnered with the National Recreation and Park Association with US$250,000 in grants to help create sustainable community park and recreation areas throughout the US.
