Camso Celebrates Expansion Of Iowa Factory
12 October 2018

Track and undercarriage specialist Camso recently inaugurated its new 240,000 sq. ft. factory in eastern Iowa during an event for employees, partners and customers. The new location has reportedly increased the company’s manufacturing and storage footprint in the community of Peosta by 85%.
“To meet the growing demand for track systems and sustain the anticipated growth of the upcoming years relocation was necessary,” said Patrick Fortin, plant director, Peosta-Agriculture, Camso.
All existing machinery moved from the company’s previous location, which was across the street, to the new plant over the course of four months with no impact on product delivery to customers, said Camso. The company produces and ships components for equipment manufacturers worldwide from the location.
The company said the move also highlighted its commitment to provide employees with a working environment of choice. The offices and cafeteria carry Camso’s brand identity while the assembly operations received a new paint line.
The footprint expansion and the growing demand for track systems are also expected to create new jobs for the local workforce, said the company.
