CCC To Bring Compliance To California Turbine
23 June 2017
Catalytic Combustion Corp.’s Power Generation Business Unit received an order for gas turbine ductwork at a California municipal wastewater treatment plant. The order also includes a carbon monoxide (CO) catalyst as well as engineering services.
The engine exhaust ductwork, suited for 2 to 20 MW gas turbines, is a direct, drop-in replacement with a CO catalyst. It will replace the existing ductwork, which is without an emissions catalyst, and help the plant comply with California’s air emissions regulations. The catalyst offers compliance for several emissions, including CO, particulate matter, formaldehyde, hydrocarbons, volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and nitrogen dioxide (NO2).
The emission equipment will be delivered in the third quarter of 2017. A local mechanical contractor will remove the old equipment and install the new emissions equipment and instrumentation.
