CES Power buys Caterpillar gensets in ‘major’ fleet expansion

CES Power has signed a multi-year agreement with Caterpillar to buy its Stage V gensets as part of a major expansion of its power rental fleet in the UK and Ireland.

The investment, largely in the 20-300kVA segment, is designed to meet growing demand for lower-emission power for events, film and TV, construction, infrastructure and industrial projects.

The investment comes as Las Vegas-based CES Power continues to expand in Europe, with plans to make acquisitions in continental Europe following seven deals in the UK and Ireland since 2023.

Jordan Reber, CEO of CES Power, described the deal as a major step forward for the business in the UK and Ireland; “Adding Cat power to our fleet gives customers greater scale, trusted reliability and the responsive service they depend on when power is critical.”

‘Extends our reach’

Melissa Busen, senior vice president, Electric Power Division at Caterpillar, said; “Working with providers like CES Power extends the reach of our broad energy solutions portfolio to customers throughout the region.”

The president of CES Power in Europe, Ailsa Webb, added; “Caterpillar’s reputation for durability, efficiency and reliability makes it the right fit for the markets we serve.

“This agreement supports our continued growth and strengthens our ability to serve customers across the UK and Ireland.”

CES Power was founded in 2000 and is headquartered in Las Vegas, Nevada. It’s private equity owner is Allied Industrial Partners, a lower-middle market firm that has over $1 billion of assets under management.
