CICA targets construction innovation with global technology map

The map will operate as a living platform, continuously integrating new startups, scaleups, technology providers, research centers, incubators, accelerators, and innovation ecosystems from across the globe. It is available to view on the CICA website.

CICA, which was formed in 1974, says it is launching this initiative to strengthen connections between innovation and industry needs, while accelerating the digital transformation of construction worldwide.

The platform will provide international visibility to emerging technologies and facilitate collaboration opportunities between innovators, contractors, investors, institutions, and industry leaders through CICA’s global network.

The initiative places a particular emphasis on technologies supporting the decarbonisation of the construction sector, sustainable infrastructure development, and solutions contributing to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

“The construction industry is undergoing profound transformation driven by digitalisation, sustainability, innovation and human centric approach,” said Demet Demirer, Chair of CICA’s Construction 5.0 Working Group.

“Through the CICA – Global ConTech & PropTech Map, we aim to create a global bridge between innovators and the construction industry, while promoting international collaboration and accelerating the adoption of impactful technologies, in alignment with the SDGs and Construction 5.0 principles.”

Startups, scaleups, local accelerators, hubs, research centers and technology providers wishing to join the initiative are invited to apply and become part of a growing international ecosystem shaping the future of construction.
