Eaton shows new mobile power solutions

Eaton showcased four new mobile power innovations at the Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week (HDAW), which took place Jan. 19–22, 2026 in Grapevine, Texas. The new offerings expand the company’s vocational and heavy-duty truck portfolio.

The Eaton PT 500 Series power take-off is purpose-built for Dodge transmissions.

The all-new PT 500 Series PTOs, purpose-built for Dodge transmissions, include compatibility with ZF PowerLine 8AP and Torqueflite HD applications. Designed for demanding vocational use, the PT 500 Series features a low-profile hot-shift two-gear PTO design with hydraulic shifting in stationary mode. The PTO mounts laterally on either side of the transmission, giving upfitters installation flexibility.

The PT 500 Series delivers continuous torque up to 280 lb.-ft. (380 Nm) and intermittent torque up to 391 lb.-ft. (530 Nm), with power output reaching 54 hp (40 kW) at 1,000 rpm. An engine-to-PTO ratio of 1:1.21 supports efficient power transfer, while the compact 53-lb. (24 kg) design helps minimize added vehicle weight. For smoother engagement and reduced torque peaks, Eaton will also highlight its optional soft electro-hydraulic soft-start shifting kit, designed specifically for hot-shift PTO applications.

The new hot-shift PTO for the Endurant transmission is designed to enable smooth clutch-free engagement, even in stop-and-go or continuous-duty environments. By allowing PTO engagement under load, Eaton said the system improves operational efficiency and helps reduce downtime in demanding applications such as refuse, utility and construction.

Eaton is also introducing Allison wet kits, engineered as turnkey hydraulic solutions for customers using Allison automatic transmissions. These integrated kits are designed to simplify installation while delivering consistent hydraulic performance and long-term reliability across a range of vocational applications, including dump, snow and ice, utility and construction equipment.

Rounding out the lineup is Eaton’s pressure-compensated piston pump, which it said delivers precise hydraulic control while maximizing system efficiency. Also on display are rear pneumatic heavy-duty PTO solutions designed for high-load applications, including configurations with reinforced mounting and rotated pump outputs to better support heavy hydraulic pumps. These PTOs are said to offer multiple internal ratios and robust torque and power capabilities to meet the needs of high-demand vocational equipment.
