Faymonville Group acquires Morello

Transport equipment manufacturer Faymonville Group will acquire the majority of shares in Italian electric vehicle maker Morello.

Turin-based Morello makes battery-electric heavy load transport vehicles for use in factories, typically to move heavy machinery or large products. It sells them worldwide. The acquisition will broaden Faymonville’s equipment offer in the lighter load range.

Being electric the Morello equipment is a perfect fit for the increasing demand to have emission-free and low-noise working. AGV systems for intralogistics and large factories are another element.

Industries served include rail, steel production, defence, nuclear and other energy sectors.

A new chapter

Amedeo Morello, who represents the family-owned business, commented, “We are proud and grateful that our technology will become part of the strong offer of the family-owned Faymonville Group. Faymonville will bring in its production expertise to Morello. “This synergy opens new horizons for the Luxembourg-based manufacturer and strengthens its position as a full-range supplier for special and heavy haulage vehicles,” the company said.
