Epec office to open this month in Wisconsin
Finnish technology company Epec Oy said it plans to open a new office in Milwaukee, Wis., to provide a collaborative setting for customers in North America. The company said it can help customers solve electronics, controls and software design, engineering and implementation challenges in off-highway and commercial vehicle industries. The new office is expected to start its operations in January 2023.

“We want to support the region’s machine manufacturers in the opportunities opened by the industry’s technological changes, for example, related to electrification, control systems, assistive functions, connectivity solutions, sustainability, reducing emissions, and future technologies” said Epec’s Managing Director Jyri Kylä-Kaila. “North American customers are increasingly investing into the research and development. Our goal is to support machine and commercial vehicle manufacturers, OEMs and Tier 1s, in developing next-generation highly efficient, automated and zero emission machines and vehicles.”
Part of Finland’s Ponsse Group, Epec has been operating in the North American market since 2008.
Business Development Manager Vesa Ala-Mutka will lead the operations in Milwaukee. “The technology shift we see in Europe is quite similar in North America,” he said, “and I know we have a good offering to support North American customers in different segments. It’s also good news for our existing customers in the same time zone, further improving our cooperation possibilities.”
