FPT Unveiling New Gen-Set

Premium Content

02 March 2018

FPT Industrial announced what visitors can expect to see at the Middle East Electricity show in Dubai, March 6-8, where its focus will be on the engine lineup for U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Tier 4 final and EU Stage 5 emissions regulations.

FPT said it is looking at introducing full switchability between 50 and 60 Hz for all its power generation engines compliant with the latest emissions regulations.

For EU Stage 5, the company will exhibit a gen-set with N-67 engine and aftertreatment pack. The 200 kVA package includes the company’s new ATS-Pack approach, where the aftertreatment system with Hi-SCR is delivered preassembled and precabled as one single component ready for installation.

The ATS Pack can be installed in a vertical or horizontal position and replaces the silencer in the same space and delivers an equivalent noise reduction.

With regard to the aftertreatment components, FPT Industrial said that customers will have the choice between the ATS-Pack solution for the loose components to be freely assembled (a total of 12 pieces). The company’s goal is to maintain the current Stage 3a gen-set frame in terms of dimensions.
