Fayat to acquire US-based road equipment maker LeeBoy

French construction and industrial conglomerate Fayat Group has signed an agreement to acquire LeeBoy, a US manufacturer of road construction equipment, from Singapore-based ST Engineering.

Headquartered in North Carolina, US, LeeBoy produces a range of machines including asphalt pavers, compact motor graders and road maintenance tools.

Fayat, which generated €5.7 billion (US$6.6 billion) in turnover in 2024, operates in 170 countries across seven divisions including road equipment and civil works.

The deal is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2025, pending regulatory approvals in the US. The transaction value was not disclosed.
