Hydrogen infrastructure provider GenH2 has announced an agreement with specialty vehicle manufacturer Monfort Technology to develop solutions for mass transit and long-haul trucking.

GenH2 will manufacture hydrogen production, liquefaction, controlled storage and dispensing elements for buses and Class 1 – 8 trucks.

Monfort, known for production of the first 80-passenger battery-electric school bus, will produce EV hybrid vehicle conversion kits using the patented BMS and drivetrain technologies.

The partners will focus on delivery of mobility and infrastructure solutions supporting municipalities and school districts, hydrogen infrastructure for regional transport and liquid hydrogen transport.

The companies will also collaborate on development of storage units for liquid hydrogen, supported by Monfort’s earlier work in cryogenic thermal cycling systems and GenH2 controlled storage and transfer systems.
