Heavy hitters lined up for Saudi Arabia’s Heavy Equipment Connect

More than 100 manufacturers and suppliers have now signed up to exhibit at Heavy Equipment Connect 2026, a major new three-day trade show in Saudi Arabia.

Taking place in at Dharhran Expo in Dammam, the show runs from 2-4 February 2026 and is being organised under the patronage of the National Industrial Development Center (NIDC).

Chinese manufacturers including LiuGong, Sany, Shantui, XCMG, and Zoomlion are expected to be particularly prominent, as are European firms like JCB, tunnelling systems company Herrenknecht, and crane firms Sennebogen and Wolffkran.

Other big names include Bobcat, Caterpillar, Develon, Terex, and India’s ACE.

Truck suppliers like Volvo Trucks, Daewoo Trucks, Renault Trucks, JAC, and Tonly will also have a presence at the show, alongside rental firms, and suppliers like UK-based vehicle safety specialist Parksafe Group, solar panel firm Jinko Solar, and offroad wheel and tyre technology firm OTR.

The show comes amid as construction work hits unprecedented levels in the Kingdom. Construction spending hit a peak of US$260 billion in 2025, with another $240 billion in spending expected this year, as Saudi Arabia delivers a series of megaprojects amid a transformation under its Vision 2030 programme.

To examine how the construction sector can deliver on such an ambitious programme of work, Heavy Equipment Connect will also hold a two-day conference running from 2 to 4 February. It will explore themes including:

  • The Saudi investment landscape
  • The build-up of the heavy equipment supply chain in the Kingdom
  • Capital demands and drivers
  • Government support and programmes
  • The renting and leasing ecosystem
  • The mega- and gigaprojects underway in Saudi and success stories so far

Among the more than 50 speakers at the conference will be: HE Eng. Khalil bin Ibrahim bin Salamah, Saudi Arabian vice minister of industrial affairs at the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources; Herrenknecht founder and CEO Martin Herrenknecht; Fahad Al Awaji, CEO of the Heavy Equipment Regulatory Center; Dr. Peter Schiefer, chairman of the board of directors of Wolffkran; Eng. Saleh S. Al Solami, CEO of Saudi Arabia’s Industrial Center; and Erich Sennebogen, managing director of Sennebogen.

Meanwhile, specialised pavilions, including the ‘Built in Saudi for the World’ Pavilion, will highlight localised manufacturing and industrial innovation.
