Himoinsa Turkey Power Solutions now open for business

Power tech solutions provider Himoinsa, which is part of Yanmar Energy Systems, has a long history of undertaking power projects in Turkey.

The Spanish company has now announced the launch of its new subsidiary, Himoinsa Turkey Power Solutions.

With headquarters in Istanbul, the new business will have a focus on power generation projects, offering expertise in engineering, procurement and construction, together with commissioning and delivery of turnkey systems.

Himoinsa Turkey Power Solutions will be made up of a multidisciplinary team of engineering, technical and commercial executive management professionals with experience working in the power gen field.

The new subsidiary will be led by Efecan Ulku, Business Development director, who has more than 16 years of experience working on large-scale projects in the power gen sector.

“We have a long track record of projects carried out in Turkey, executed jointly by Himoinsa and Yanmar, so this project will only accelerate our presence in the region, where we have been operating for the last few decades,” explained Guillermo Elum, EMEA Region director.

Projects already undertaken in Turkey have included supply o 50 MW emergency power for Turkey’s largest hospital and also the what is said to be the world’s largest earthquake-resistant building.

These projects have involved providing a comprehensive engineering solutions with redundant fuel and synchronisation systems and radiators above 50C to maximise energy efficiency and performance.
