Hitachi Construction Machinery invests US$3m in mining AI firm

Their technology helps mine sites turn complex equipment data into actionable guidance that can improve fleet performance and help prevent machine failures earlier.

Hitachi says that this partnership will help mine sites using its equipment around the globe prevent and reduce downtime while reducing total cost of ownership.

“Rithmik Solutions’ technology is among the most advanced globally,” says Simon Wilson, COO of Hitachi Construction Machinery Americas.

“Their approach to building an open platform for collaboration with diverse partners aligns perfectly with our vision as we move towards the future. We remain committed to delivering solutions that truly address our customers’ challenges.”

This investment follows Hitachi Construction Machinery’s announcement that in April 2027 their brand name will change to LANDCROS. While their manufacturing, engineering, and business processes will remain the same, the new brand will also be focused on providing solutions beyond machinery.

Hitachi noted that Rithmik Solutions’ technology has the potential to greatly enhance the LANDCROS Connect Insight platform for mining operations.

The platform already provides real-time data analysis and remote monitoring solutions for mining equipment and, according to the OEM, integrating the advanced AI from Rithmik Solutions, will enable platform to find the root cause of issues to suggest proactive maintenance.
