The Comexposium group has appointed Christophe Lecarpentier as the new head of its Ag Equipment and Construction Business Unit.

Next year’s Intermat will be the first since 2018

In his new role, Lecarpentier will oversee the organisation of three major trade shows, including the construction equipment event, Intermat, due to take place at Paris-Nord Villepinte between April 24 and 27, next year.

This will be the first Intermat to be held since the pre-Covid event in 2018.

Describing itself as France’s sustainable construction solutions and technology exhibition, the event will showcase the latest innovations of manufacturers as they look to contribute to the efficiency of building projects.

Comexposium said Lecarpentier brings to the role almost 30 years’ experience in the agricultural and construction sectors, with knowledge of manufacturers and a deep understanding of markets, both in their industrial aspects and in their distribution networks.

Between 1998 and 2005, Lecarpentier was sales director at Milsco, the American equipment manufacturer and supplier of seats for machinery in the construction, agricultural, industrial and landscaping markets.

His career continued at JCB, the supplier of machines and solutions for the construction, agricultural, industrial and recycling sectors, where he was product manager from 2005 to 2011.

Between 2011 and 2020, he was JCB’s marketing and sales support director then director of the Africa zone from 2020 to 2023, overseeing the dealerships in North and West Africa.

Lecarpentier said of his new role, “My French and international experiences have brought me to work with many manufacturers, both upstream in product design and innovation, and at distribution level (product launch, promotion, network training, sales through dealership networks).

“Convinced of the pivotal role that the exhibition media plays in the promotional mix, I am looking forward to working with the entire profession, and I am thrilled to be taking up the position as director of the Ag Equipment and Construction Business Unit at Comexposium.”
