IRE and APEX unite compact equipment, access platforms and new power technology in Maastricht

European contractors and builders will be able to visit more than 200 companies showing compact construction equipment, aerial work platforms and on-site tools such as lighting towers, compressors and generators at the International Rental Exhibition (IRE) and APEX shows in Maastricht, the Netherlands on 2 to 4 June.

The shows, co-located at the MECC exhibition centre in the city, will provide equipment users with a convenient one-stop shop to see the latest tools and equipment, including:

• Portable generators and battery energy storage systems;

• On-site tools for lighting, cutting, drilling;
• 100 exhibitors of scissor lifts, self-propelled booms and low-height platforms;
• Compact equipment such as mini excavators, skid steer loaders and wheeled loaders, including battery powered machines.

“The two exhibitions will showcase an enormous range of equipment and technology”, said Steve Webb, Head of Events at co-organiser KHL Group, “and key features will be new power technology, whether portable battery energy systems (BESS) or battery powered earthmoving equipment, and the largest selection of aerial platforms anywhere in Europe this year.

“The IRE and APEX exhibitions are staged side-by-side, with free movement between the two. It will give contractors and builders a very convenient way of seeing a lot of equipment in one visit.”

Big name exhibitors

Exhibitors include Dingli, JCB, JLG, Genie, Gölz, Haulotte, Himoinsa, Instagrid, Kaeser, Liebherr, Manitou, Merlo, Messersi, Niftylift, Palfinger, Ruthmann, Sany, Skyjack, Tadano, Trackunit, Yanmar CE and XCMG.

The two shows are in adjoining indoor halls, with additional outside areas to host the larger aerial platforms on show.

One key aspect of APEX will be a focus on safe working at height. As well as the latest aerial platforms and safety devices, the International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) will give regular safety demonstrations during the three days.

Advance registration

Visitors can register in advance online – see the websites below – and registering for one of the shows gives access to both. Free shuttle buses will run to MECC Maastricht from Brussels Zaventem Airport and Düsseldorf Airport for the full week, from 1 to 5 June, with a travel time of around 1 hr 15 minutes.
