Iveco Bus wins major vehicle supply contract

Iveco Bus, part of the Iveco Group, is to supply of 120 E-Way electric buses to Autoguidovie Group, reported to be the largest privately-held public transport company in Italy.

Featuring a steel construction, the E-Way is available in 9.5, 10.7, 12 and 18-metre lengths. A choice of battery packs is available to support various operating routes and costs.

Specification details of the 18-metre version highlight a 160/200 kW motor and battery packs using LTO (lithium titanate oxide) cells. A DC/DC 600/24V converter delivers power to the rear axle, supplied by ZF.

Off-board pantograph systems for charging enroute are also offered.

Delivery of the first buses is expected in the second half of 2023.
