Kraftanlagen to construct 5 MW green H2 plant
23 May 2022
Hy2B Wasserstoff has appointed Kraftanlagen Energies & Services (part of Bouygues Construction) as general contractor for the construction of a new 5 MW hydrogen generation plant. The project will incorporate an electrolyser, compression equipment, filling station, electricity supply system and auxiliary facilities.
Construction of the hydrogen plant is due to start in Q3 2022, followed by the installation of the electrolyser and system technology. Commissioning is planned for Q2 2023, with commercial operations scheduled to start in the second half of the year.
Using regionally-generated green electricity, the electrolyser is forecast to have a daily output of 1200 kg of green hydrogen per day. This will be compressed at up to 450 bar and pumped through to a 1250 kg storage tank. The green hydrogen will be delivered to two bus and truck filling stations in Munich and Ebersberg.
Norwegian firm NEL has been commissioned to produce key components of the alkaline electrolyser, while plant concept, pipeline planning, installation layout, process tech and commissioning will be carried out by Kraftanlagen’s P2G group.
