L’Orange Entering Turbocharger Business
07 September 2016

Germany-based fuel injection specialist L’Orange – part of Rolls-Royce Power Systems – has launched a totally new product family, turbochargers for high-speed diesel engines.
The new ZR turbocharger series is the result of a cooperation with its sister company MTU and is specifically targeted to off-highway, marine and power generation applications.
Available in three sizes, for volume flows from 0.2 to 3.5 m3/s and compressor wheel diameters from 115 to 270 mm, these turbochargers are meant to fill a gap in a size range which has been so far dominated by car and commercial vehicle turbochargers, L’Orange said.
ZR turbochargers are manufactured in Germany and they are already commercially available worldwide, L’Orange said.
