Linde’s New Bent-Axis Motors
15 January 2018

Linde Hydraulics has developed a new generation of bent-axis hydraulic motors for mobile machine applications. The CMV motors are variable displacement units, with the CMF a fixed displacement version. They are designed to succeed the BMV bent-axis motors that Linde first introduced to the market in the early 1960s.
With high-speed capacity up to 7200 rpm, the new motors with displacement sizes ranging between 60 and 215 cc offer a nominal pressure of 6500 psi, with a maximum pressure of 7251 psi.
The CMF bent-axis motors are suitable for agricultural machinery such as combine harvesters and feed mixers. For construction machinery, the motors can be used on wheeled excavators, single-drum compactors and winch drives for a variety of cranes.
CMV bent-axis motors are also suitable for agricultural machinery such as field sprayers and beet and sugar cane harvesters, as well as logging and stacking machines. In construction machines, CMV motors can be used on wheel loaders, road rollers, pavers and drilling equipment, the company said.
Linde said the new generation of bent-axis motors utilizes standardized interfaces, which can be quickly and easily integrated into existing systems without the need for adaptors. Both motor types are available as standard and plug-in versions and can therefore be used in confined spaces, the company said.
Linde said the first displacement sizes available will be the 80 cc CMF80 fixed displacement motor and the CMV115 variable speed motor with a 115 cc displacement with electroproportional controls.
