MAN Engines launches service portal

MAN Engines, a business unit of MAN Truck & Bus, announced the creation of the MAN Engines Service Portal, a central platform for service and aftersales information. The new service portal provides a structured, engine-related documentation platform aimed at customers and partners in the fields of yacht and workboat propulsion and stationary energy generation.

Through the portal, users can access the original documentation of their product based on the individual engine number and download it directly if necessary. Technical documents such as operating, maintenance and installation instructions will be available at all times, with specific engine numbers and updated on a daily basis.

Users will have access to other service-relevant content, as well, such as current service information, fuel recommendations and information on professional diagnostics based on MAN-CATS technology, which is used worldwide in the company’s service network for professional fault diagnosis, analysis and documentation of its engines. The range of products and services is supplemented by information on warranty extensions, training courses for service personnel and the latest news from within the company.

According to MAN Engines, a central feature of the service portal is the role-based access logic. Content and applications are displayed differently depending on the user group, such as end customers, importers or service networks. This ensures that each target group receives the specific information relevant to the respective use case. Parts of the portal are only available to registered and authorized users; individual content may be subject to a fee.
