Management Shuffle At MAN Engines
17 October 2017
The appointment of Jürgen Haberland as head of Business Development Off-Road and Power in MAN’s American subsidiary, MAN Engines & Components, Inc., and his relocation to the company’s Pompano Beach, Fla., office has prompted a number of management changes at MAN Engines’ headquarter in Nuremberg, Germany.
First, Hubert Gossner becomes head of the Off-Road market segment with responsibility for sales, application technology and service support for engines for use in construction, agricultural and rail-based vehicles. Gossner previously managed the Power market segment at MAN Engines. In his new post, he takes over from Haberland.
In MAN’s Power market segment, Gossner is replaced by Günther Zibes, with responsibility
for sales, application technology and service support of diesel and gas engines for generation of
power and heat. Gossner previously ran sales of rail engines at MAN Engines, and he started his career at MAN Truck & Bus in Nuremberg in gas and rail engine sales. Both new managers report to Reiner Rößner, head of sales, MAN Engines.
Lorenz Panknin, former Off-Road key account manager focusing on agriculture at MAN Engines, replaced Zibes as head of sales for Rail Engines within the Off-Road market segment. He will be responsible for the sale of engines for rail-based vehicles, such as diesel railcars, locomotives and track-laying vehicles and reports to Gossner.
