Massey Ferguson adds 8S Xtra series

AGCO’s Massey Ferguson brand now offers the MF 8S Xtra series, a line-up of six models from 205 to 305 hp, with Engine Power Management (EPM) intelligently boosting power by up to 20 hp.

The models utilize AGCO Power 7.4 L engines with standard max torque ranging from 950 to 1,280 Nm or 1,000 to 1,280 Nm with EPM. The units are available with a choice of Dyna-7, Dyna E-Power dual clutch or Dyna-VT transmissions. Additional features include new fan control software to boost efficiency and an new optional reversing fan.

A new hydraulic valve decompression lever option for base Efficient models is designed to make it easier and quicker to attach and remove hose couplings of hydraulic-driven implements and trailers. The levers are located on the valves themselves, enabling easy release of the pressure while outside the cab at the rear of the tractor, even with the engine running.

Since the MF 8S was introduced in 2020, Massey Ferguson said continuous improvements have been made and new options added to increase operator comfort, working efficiency and productivity have been added. Inside the 3.4 cu. meter cab, these include a Dual-Motion seat option, electrically adjusted external rear-view mirrors, a rear window demister and a revised microphone position. MF Technology upgrades include MF AutoTurn, MF Section Control for automatic control of up to 96 sections and AEF Isobus certification.

For the MF 8S Xtra series, a Datatronic 5 touchscreen terminal provides full connectivity and control. In addition, the optional Fieldstar 5 terminal enables precision farming on a choice of screens. A Central Tyre Inflation System (CTIS) is also available through MF By You.

Other in-cab features include a Protect-U design concept with a 24-cm gap to reduce cab noise, heat and vibration; new steering wheel design with optional spinner ball; and a new optional Entertainment pack with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and Focal speakers.

MF 8S Xtra models retain key features of the MF 8S neo-retro design while adding an enhanced black front grille and matte black bonnet side panels. A new exhaust pipe with a narrow, streamlined profile is aligned with the cab corner post. In matte black, it enables maximum forward visibility during day and night working.

A new 360-degree LED lighting pack is now also an option for all MF 8S Xtra models.
