MATS Making A Comeback?

The annual Mid-America Trucking Show, which in 2016 suffered from the absence of virtually all the major truck manufacturers, has gotten at least one of the majors back for the 2017 event.
Peterbilt Motors Co. announced it will exhibit at the 2017 Mid-America Trucking Show (MATS), which will be held March 23rd to 25th at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, Ken.
“The Mid-America Trucking Show allows Peterbilt to spend quality time with customers and drivers while exhibiting our latest offerings,” said Darrin Siver, Peterbilt general manager and PACCAR vice president. “MATS is an outstanding venue for Peterbilt to thank the industry and interact with the many men and women who own, operate or are champions of our products.”
Peterbilt said it will have “a significant presence at the show,” which will include its Model 579 EPIQ’s latest fuel economy enhancements and new day cab configuration, SmartLINQ remote diagnostics technology and a special display for the Red Oval pre-owned truck program.
Daimler Trucks North America and International Trucks, which skipped the 2016 event, also announced they would sit out MATS 2017 in favor of the new North American Commercial Vehicle Show (NACV), to be held in Atlanta in September 2017.
