Methane-Powered Wheel Loader by Case

Case Construction Equipment presented the Natural Gas (NG) Methane-Powered Wheel Loader Concept – project Tetra, powered by a six-cylinder natural gas engine from FPT Industrial’s NEF family.
With 230 hp power output and 1 184 Nm torque, this gas engine has diesel-like performance, including same reliability and durability and fuel savings up to 30%, said FPT.
Running on compressed natural gas (CNG), this units ensures 15% less CO2 and 99% less particulate matter emissions.
Optimized combustion based on stoichiometric technology improves efficiency with cost savings of 10 to 30% over diesel. Vibration and noise are reduced too.
The Case Wheel Loader Concept – projact TETRA will target mainly applications for waste management companies and construction contractors, operating in urban areas or indoors.
