Middle East Energy Show Postponed Over COVID-19
15 September 2020
Organizers of the annual Middle East Energy show, originally scheduled for March, has been moved to June 14-16 over ongoing concerns about COVID-19.
The organizers sent out the following news release:
In light of the ongoing global situation relating to the COVID-19 pandemic, Informa Markets has been closely monitoring its impact on the global energy industry. As a result of feedback from stakeholders and participants, Middle East Energy and the supporting Global Energy & Utilities Forum will be rescheduled to 14 – 16 June 2021. The event will take place at the Dubai World Trade Center, United Arab Emirates.”
The decision to run Middle East Energy in June of next year, rather than March, was one made with our partners and key stakeholders after conducting a number of industry research pieces that highlighted how businesses and economies are forecasting to improve from Q2 onwards in 2021.
As has been the case over the last 46 years we continue to work with the industry to deliver the best and safest possible event experience for our participants. We will keep you informed of any new developments and initiatives to support bringing the community together through face to face events with complimentary digital opportunities.
Moving forward, we will continue to liaise directly with all relevant authorities, including the UAE Ministry of Health and the Dubai Health Authority, and we will keep you informed of any updates.
We look forward to welcoming the global energy and utilities community to Dubai in June 2021.
