Müller new Deutz CTO, joins management board

The Supervisory Board of Deutz AG has appointed Dr. Markus Müller to chief technology officer (CTO) and member of the company’s board of management effect March 15. In his capacity as CTO, Müller will be responsible for research and development.

The appointment of Mr. Markus Müller to the Board of Management strengthens R&D, enabling Deutz to address the growing demands placed on drive technologies of the future even more effectively,” said Dr. Bernd Bohr, chairman of the supervisory board of Deutz AG. “We wish him every success in his new role.”

Müller, 41, has spent more than 13 years at Deutz. From 2006 to 2016, he held a variety of posts in application engineering and R&D. From 2016 to 2018, he was managing director at emissions specialist HJS before returning to Deutz in 2018 as senior vice president of Development & Technical Customer Support, where he oversaw research and development, electrification and the central technical customer interface.

“I am delighted that, in Markus Müller, an expert from within the company’s own ranks has been appointed to the board of management,” said Dr. Frank Hiller, chairman of the Deutz board of management. “He is very familiar with the market and the company in equal measure.”
