27 April 2016
MWM, the South American diesel engine subsidiary of Navistar, has opened a new distribution center in Brazil. The new facility is located in Jundiaí, São Paulo state and occupies 7750 m² with 145 employees.
With 14 000 part numbers available for distribution, the site has a daily capacity of receiving more than 85 000 pieces, can package 80 000 parts sets and 2300 cylinder kits.
The location was chosen to guarantee flexibility in delivery of original MWM and Master Parts pieces, the company said. It will cover entirety of Brazil and exports and 89% of orders will be filled within 48 hours, MWM said.
“The center will represent more productivity,” said Paulo Rolin, director of Supply Chain for MWM. “We will keep the rhythm and will search for constant improvement in all stages of the work to make it reflect in more productivity for our customers.”
