New Control From Altronic
03 April 2018

Altronic aims to give generator set, compressor and pump operators better control of their assets with the DE-4000, a new control system for critical rotating machinery in hazardous areas. The device uses microcontrollers and surface-mount PCB assembly technology to start, protect, monitor and control both the prime mover and load machine.
The microprocessor-based system features a touchscreen display, controller module and terminal module. Typical installation consists of mounting the DE-4000 in an associated control panel with the controller and terminal modules DIN-rail mounted at the back of an enclosure. The DE-4000 is fully scalable to allow operators to use it across several industry applications, the company said.
Its base configuration consists of 12 digital and four analog outputs, as well as 32 individually configurable inputs that can be used with switch contacts, analog transducers or thermocouples. At maximum capacity, the DE-4000 can have 44 digital and 20 analog outputs, with 160 configurable inputs.
