22 July 2019

CONEXPO Latin America 2019 announced it has signed agreements with the National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators (NCCCO) and the International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) to co-locate interactive educational/training activities to the exhibition. Along with that, Pezco Economics will conduct an interactive program focused on regional economic opportunities.

The three new events join the previously announced co-located Regional Congress on Asphalt Pavements, from the International Road Federation (IRF), the leading global non-profit organization in the road industry.

CONEXPO Latin America 2019 will be held October 2-5 in Santiago, Chile (Espacio Riesco).

“We are very excited to welcome these prestigious groups to CONEXPO Latin America 2019 to share their knowledge and expertise,” said Fred Vieira, CONEXPO Latin America show director and AEM director, International Exhibitions and Events. “These co-located educational and learning opportunities enhance the value of the show for all participants, and more are being planned.”

The NCCCO will promote crane safety with dynamic live crane operator demonstrations as well as subject matter experts on hand for one-on-one conversations and to answer questions on all things crane and safety related, including operator evaluations, accident prevention, ground conditions, powerline safety, rigging and signaling, crane inspections, and related best practices.

IPAF will promote the safer use of mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPs) with demonstrations, presentations, displays and interactive exhibits, the opportunity to speak to experts, and a comprehensive range of the latest safety and technical guidance.

The LatAm Economic Symposium is being organized by Pezco Economics. Lunchtime sessions will focus on project opportunities in Hispanic-speaking markets, with interaction between attendees and session presenters encouraged. Pezco Economics is an award-winning economic consultancy recognized as one of the most prominent experts on South American economies.

More details will be announced as the activities are developed.
