New head of construction at Husqvarna

Husqvarna Group has appointed Anders Lindmark as the new president of its Construction division.

He will take up the role on 1 July 2026, succeeding Karin Falk, who will leave the business. Falk, whose departure was reported by Hunsqvarna in February, has held the post since September 2020.

Lindmark, who also becomes a member of group management, joins Husqvarna from Alfa Lavel, where he was head of the Heat & Gas Systems business unit within the Marine division.

He has more than 20 years of international experience in industry-related operations within marine and energy-related equipment.

Glen Instone, CEO of Husqvarna, said; “Anders combines strong leadership skills with a proven ability to drive growth and transformation in global industrial operations, making him very well equipped to lead the Husqvarna Construction Division forward.”

The announcement came as Hunsqvarna announced a 5% fall in revenues for the three months to 31 March this year, although that includes a -7% impact from changes in exchange rates.

The Construction division, which represented 15% of group sales last year, saw a 1% increase in organic sales (before exchange rate changes), but 8% down on a net basis to SEK1.71 billion (€159 million).

Operating profits were 18% lower, year-on-year, impacted by higher raw material costs, tariffs and exchange rate changes.

Husqvarna said growth in the division was driven by sales of sawing and drilling products, and that it had a turnaround plan for the division’s Compaction, Placement and Demolition business unit.

In its investor presentation, Husqvarna said the division was seeing continued improved market sentiment in US while Europe was softer.
