New Yanmar Gas Engines

Yanmar said it has developed two gas-powered industrial engines – using liquid petroleum gas (LPG) – and meeting EPA Tier 2 and EU Stage 5 emissions regulations.
The company said this “marks the start of fuel diversification at Yanmar” and announced that by adding the 4TN88G model, which has a maximum output of 45 kW at 2600 r/min, and the 4TN98G (maximum output 63 kW at 2500 r/min), to its lineup, it is ready to “better meet the diverse needs of its customers.”
Furthermore, Yanmar said it has plans to introduce bi-fuel specification models that can run on both LPG and gasoline.
The company said it has more than 30 years’ experience of working with gas engines. It added that this experience has allowed it “to develop a proprietary gas combustion system for high output, fuel efficient and compact engines that display the durability and reliability required of industrial applications and deliver new value to our customers.”
Yanmar said it can now provide customers with a “One-Stop Solution”, offering either a diesel or gas power source in one sales contact, “with maximum compatibility to the customer’s equipment.”
