Record sales for world’s biggest construction OEMs

Premium Content

Construction equipment sales for the world’s top 50 OEMs have hit record levels, according to International Construction’s Yellow Table, which compiles and ranks the sales results for the world’s biggest equipment manufacturers.

Sales for last year’s Yellow Table were impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic and countries around the world locking down. Despite this, sales were only down 5.5% from the previous table, mostly due to China – the world’s biggest market for construction equipment – seeing a strong growth in sales.

In this year’s table sales were up 20.8% to take the table to its highest ever total of US$232.7 billion as most markets in the world saw growth as the industry bounced back from the impact of the pandemic.

One company enters the top ten of the list for the first time, and there are several new entries onto the Yellow Table this year.

The full ranking of the world’s top 50 OEMs and four pages of analysis of the results will be in the May-June issue of International Construction magazine. Receive a digital copy of the magazine for free by signing up here.
