Manfred Roth, 85, passed away on January 3, 2025, surrounded by his family.

Roth joined his father Heinrich Roth’s company at the age of 21 in 1961 when the father fell seriously ill, and he had to take over entrepreneurial responsibility. Back then then company was producing boiler stoves with handcrafted production, but Roth had the idea of developing the family business into a dynamic industrial company with several technology and market-leading business areas.

Roth Industries, headquartered in Dautphetal, in the German state of Hesse, is nowadays a global player in the field energy systems, composite and plastic technology, and hydraulic technology.

Manfred Roth gradually transferred responsibility to his children and retired from management in 2019. He then continued to be present in the family business as a consultant and remained a member of the Executive Board in this capacity.

Recently, the company’s division Roth Hydraulics acquired US-based specialist in bladder, piston, and diaphragm accumulators SFP Hydraulics, Inc. based in Houston, TX, USA.
