Salami low-noise pump
09 April 2021
Salami introduced the new low noise gear pump Pulsar-2PSE with displacement from 0.27 to 1.62 cu.in/rev and an intermittent pressure up to 280 bar.
The new pump has shown a reduction of the flow pulsations of 80% and an average reduction of the noise emissions by up to 7-9 dB(A) compared to standard gear pumps. It also achieved less vibrations and a longer life.
The pump is constructed with an aluminium body and cast-iron flanges and covers. It features double shaft seal and floating bushings for a high volumetric efficiency. The low-noise constructive features include double flank engagement., tooth profile optimization to reduce relative sliding, a specific heat treatment to minimize the gear deformation, and optimized axial balancing bushings to minimize the volume trapped during teeth engagement.
The pump is available with European, German, SAE A and SAE B flanges, and with European, German and American standard ports.
Among the applications for this pump are waste compactors, forklifts, farm vehicles, municipal vehicles, earthmoving machines, and hydraulic steering systems.
