SaMoTer to go ahead in 2023

Premium Content

The 31st edition of SaMoTer has been rescheduled for a fourth time as a result of Covid-19 and will now take place from the 3-7 March, 2023.

The show was one of the first construction industry events to be affected by the pandemic and was originally due to take place in Verona, Italy, last March alongside the 9th Asphaltica show. The most recent scheduled date for the event was 3-7 March this year.

Event organiser Veronafiere, which described the March 2023 date as ‘definitive’, has also announced a new ‘run-up’ event from 30 September to 2 October this year. That event will have ‘live’ construction machinery and equipment in operation at a quarry, alongside the natural stone show Marmomac.

Giovanni Mantovani, CEO of Veronafiere, said. “The scenario associated with the pandemic is still very uncertain. Consequently, in agreement with manufacturers and sector associations, we have identified a new positioning in line with the needs of this industry as well as the calendar of other specialized trade fairs in Europe.

“At the same time, we are well aware of the importance for companies of having live occasions for presenting their latest developments to the Italian market. We have therefore decided to organize a dynamic new ‘run-up’ event in Autumn 2021.”

Veronafiere said the new event in Autumn will “offer the opportunity to create important synergies between sectors”.
