Service Contract In Abu Dhabi

Ansaldo Energia has won a 10-year structured service agreement for the Taweelah New B Extension (TNBE) combined-cycle power plant by the independent water and power producer Taweelah Asia Power Co. (TAPCO), in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
The TNBE plant generates over 947 MW net power and 68.4 million imperial gallons per day of water using multi-stage flash desalination units. TNBE is located in Al Rahba City, 80 km from Abu Dhabi.
The service agreement with Ansaldo Energia covers three dual-fuel Siemens SGT5-4000G gas turbines, SGEN5-1000A air-cooled generators coupled with a Siemens SST5-6000 steam turbine, one SGEN5-2000H hydrogen-cooled generator, plus all related auxiliaries.
The agreement covers all scheduled and unscheduled power generation and related auxiliary equipment maintenance, a parts supply program including upgrades, repair and refurbishment of parts, and remote monitoring and diagnostics including Ansaldo’s APEX digital predictive maintenance tools. A gas turbine rotor exchange program has been established too, to facilitate timely outage activities.
Ansaldo Energia offers an extensive portfolio of advanced and innovative Multi-OEM platform service capabilities. With the addition of TNBE, the company currently has structured service agreements on over eighty 50-Hz and 60-Hz F-Class gas turbines by other OEMs.
