Sinoboom extents electric high-reach boom range

Sinoboom has launched a pair of new high-reach electric telescopic boom lifts in its Plus series, the TB39ERJ Plus HD and TB42ERJ Plus HD.

Features include the X chassis, which has been designed to achieve an ideal balance between transportability, and stability in the field. With axles retracted, the machine width is 2.49m, and with axles extended the width is 3.34m. The narrow stowed width allows for transportation by flatbed trucks and in HQ containers, unlocking simpler and more cost-effective transportation.

The TB39ERJ Plus HD and TB42ERJ Plus HD are also developed and designed on the same platform as their diesel counterparts, with a high degree of modularisation and commonality across the different models. This eases spare-parts inventory pressure for rental companies.

Both models are now available in India, Southeast Asia and mainland Europe.

Operational performance

The two models are powered by a 336V automotive-grade powertrain, which is served by the company’s Inovance technology, and utilises an integrated 3-in-1 motor which provides a more efficient transmission ratio and cooling performance. The configuration is a more suitable power solution for high-reach boom lifts than some other options, and offers advantages of low energy consumption, high transmission efficiency, stable performance, and a long service life.

As with all Sinoboom Plus series products, strong carrying capability is key, with a three-stage capacity of 480kg (restricted), 340kg (restricted) and 250kg (unrestricted) enabling up to three occupants plus tools to be carried in unrestricted mode, or two occupants in both of the restricted modes.

TB39ERJ Plus HD offers a maximum working height of 41.2m and the TB42ERJ Plus HD one of 43.6m, and both machines provide a maximum horizontal working envelope of 22.7m / 23.6m / 24.7m in the two restricted and unrestricted modes respectively.

Jib rotation of 235° (left 160° /right 75°) enables precision and flexibility in approaching the work target, while 360° continuous turntable rotation and 180° platform rotation minimize the need to reposition the machine, boosting working efficiency.

When on the move, the machines’ four steering modes of four-wheel steering, crab-steering, rear-wheel steering and front-wheel steering allow for maximum flexibility in manoeuvring.

Both machines are compatible with the Sinoboom Range Extender, which substantially extends potential operation time, improving efficiency and easing range anxiety.

Simplified maintenance

The power system is configured in a logical layout on the turntable for easier service access, with power failure protection integrated into the system to protect the safety of both personnel and equipment.

Gavin Wang, rotating director of Sinoboom R&D Centre, said, “As demand for clean, emissions-free access equipment for ever-higher heights increases, Sinoboom has committed itself to developing solutions that work in the real world. The TB39ERJ Plus HD and TB42ERJ Plus HD perform at the high standards our partners and customers have come to expect, while offering a green and quiet solution on large, emissions-critical projects.”
